Dosing

 

Water Hardness

Do you live in a hard or soft water area? If you don't know, it's important to find out since this will determine how much detergent you need to use. You will generally need to use more detergent in hard water areas. Water hardnesss varies by country, city and even neighbourhood. If you contact your local water board, they should be able to tell you the exact water hardness of your household.

Soil Level

		Refreshing No stains are noticeable on the garments, you just would like to refresh the clothes you've been wearing.
		Light soil Garments that have been worn for a day and which show some stains
		Normal Soil Garments that have been worn for more than one day and which are visibly dirty (some stains are apparent, or the garments look greyish)
		Heavy Soil Items which are very dirty, ( for example kitchen towels), or garments which have tough stains on them such as mud, grass, motor oil.

Water Level

Your machine is full when you can hold your hand vertically on top of the load without pressing the clothes together.

Some newer washing machines can adjust the amount of water according to the wash-load. So if you don't fill your machine you can reduce the amount of detergent.

Your dosing device has measuring lines, so you can easily determine the exact amount of detergent needed. If you don't have one you can order one from the Free Dosing Device section.
